About Lore of the Warp

What this is

Lore of the Warp is an unofficial fan encyclopedia of Warhammer 40,000 characters, including the four Chaos Gods. Every profile follows the same structure (overview, Most Brutal Moment, origins, key events, battles, personality, connections, legacy and appearances), so lesser-known characters get the same treatment as Primarchs.

Accuracy policy

• All lore is summarised in our own words from published background (codexes, campaign books and Black Library fiction), as documented by community wikis such as Lexicanum and the Warhammer 40k Wiki. No text is copied.
• We invent nothing. Where sources conflict, or lore has been retconned, the page says so in a "Contested & retconned lore" box. Where the sources give few details, we say that too rather than fill the gap.
• Every Most Brutal Moment names its source. Where the sources are thin, the text says so.
• Relationships are documented encounters wherever possible. Links that reflect only a thematic parallel are labelled "parallel".
• Lore keeps evolving. Era Indomitus details especially may change with new releases.

Art policy

Portraits and banners are original generated illustrations. They do not use Games Workshop logos or text, or recreate specific copyrighted designs. Verified fan art is linked on the artist's own page, never re-hosted. See Art Credits.
