A Tech-Priest Dominus is an ordained master of war within the Adeptus Mechanicus, a high-ranking Magos whose obsession is the destruction of the Omnissiah's enemies and the violent reclamation of lost human technology. Having spent centuries replacing weak organic tissue with blessed bionics, a Dominus views every battlefield as an equation of ballistics, sacred geometry and attrition waiting to be solved.
When a Forge World marches to war, a Tech-Priest Dominus often assumes direct command of a Battle Congregation or Skitarii cohort. Through noospheric data-tethers and broad-spectrum binaric cant, the Dominus overrides the reflexes of subordinate Skitarii, feeds targeting telemetry directly into Onager Dunecrawlers and Kataphron breachers, and chants the Canticles of the Omnissiah as incandescent volleys of plasma and eradication beams scour the field.
Appearance & wargear
Draped in the crimson robes of Mars or the heraldic vestments of their home Forge World, a Tech-Priest Dominus towers over mortal soldiers on crab-like augmetic limbs oranti-gravitic repulsor-suspensors. Beneath their cowled hood gleam multi-spectral optical lenses, respirator grilles and bundles of neural cabling. From their spinal harness uncoil multiple articulated mechadendrites, while glowing alchemical reservoirs and power cylinders hum upon their hunched back.
In battle they carry the sacred Omnissian Axe—a long-hafted halberd whose cog-toothed power blade doubles as sign of office and armour-cleaving weapon—alongside arcane firearms such as a volkite blaster, eradication ray, macrostubber or phosphor serpenta wielded by auxiliary mechanical arms.
